I have missed updates before and only lost certain packages like movies and sports say. Everything else worked fine.

But NEwCS would report client as NOT OK and then I knew I had missed updates.

This is different because clients reporting OK but nothing but a big black picture.

Makes me wonder if this is a request from 'Hollywood'. That's why only the movie channels are affected (and not World Movies, which is owned by SBS (?)

After all, Foxtel shouldn't care if you're using a third party box, as long as you have a legit sub.

Really doubt that you have set up oscam correctly looks like the box is still using CCcam

Anyways for anyone who wants to install oscam on a dreambox whit PLI image heres how

this is quoted from this (this is how i installed it)

Try to use Pli image, rename file to "oscam" put the file on /var/bin and attributes are 755, the config files /var/tuxbox/config.

create the text file with name "oscam" and put this information on the file "099.4.1543" without " attribute 755 on /var/etc/plimgr/cardservers

If you use DM500 use PPC.

To work you need minimal 3 files, use the examples files and config with or need´s.

/var/tuxbox/config
oscam.server
oscam.conf
oscam.user


The oscam text file it´s for pli to show the cardserver name on options.

just download oscam from here


and use powerpc-tuxbox-smartreader version of oscam for e1 boxes

from the post it appears the provider has activated the same control word hashing counter measure that is currently running for many of the providers overseas. your only option is to find a Softcam or server such as oscam that can decrypt the control words.

Sounds like all you blue card 090B CAID users have now experienced all the fun and games us orange card users experienced just on a year ago.
If someone can confirm, is your softcam returning BOTH the odd and even code words from the card at the same time (i.e. both updating every 10 secs?).
If so then that would be positive confirmation that finally the ECM stream for blue cards has had a change to the smaller ECM packet size (it has the benefit of smaller response times from the card) but most softcams won't work with it. Only Oscam and Scam are known to work with it. If people are having issues installing Oscam you might want to try Scam first.
Just as for the orange cards, the ECM format change only affects specific entitlement tiers and it looks like movies are the first of probably more tiers to gradually change.

Back to Oscam and all is good again with CCcam on client boxes which is a pain because I could never eliminate glitching with oscam.

Does anyone know if is it possible that a firmware upgrade on receivers, so that blue cards can enter the boxkey, will solve this problem?

I'm just trying to think outside the square on this one.
