PS Jailbreak is a USB plug and play solution that installs in seconds, keeping your valid warranty seal in tact.
Easy to use installer and GUI takes you step by step.
Compatible with all production models FAT and SLIM. Supports all regions: USA, JAP, PAL and KOREA
PS Jailbreak disables forced software updates and will never brick your console.
Supports all games (it does not allow backups of bluray movies , dvd movies , or past consoles games)
Backup games to your internal hard drive or external hard drive through USB, and boot directly off GUI. Eliminating the need for expensive blueray burners and costly blank media.
Play backups off your hard drives 2x as fast as off the blueray drive. This eliminates lags and glitches to provide you with smoother game play.
Open up your console to a new generation of homebrew applications. Load homebrew apps/games off any USB hard drive/flash drive.
Fully updatable with new features/updates by connecting PS Jailbreak to any computers USB port.

Interesting. Will you be stocking? Any idea on price?
Hopefully next week.
It is pricey ~$150 (Close to WODE prices)
Will be discounts for Austech members
wow.
amazing.
$150 is not bad when you consider most new release games are $100 each.
Cheers,
Nando.
wonder if you are able to still play on line?, if it disables software updates
The writer of this artice doesn't think the usb dongle is real, and that the software is illegal:
"psjailbreak’s so called “Backup Manager” (which is pretty much the only thing available to download on their website) is a debug package including a regular fself compiled with the (massively privately leaked) 1.92 sdk, The package itself is generated with Sony’s official sdk tool (make_package_npdrm revision 1203 probably from that very same sdk) that makes it illegal to share because I am quite sure psjailbreak staff doesn’t have the appropriate license to be using the official Playstation 3 SDK and its tools."
Urban, have you use or seen one to confirm that it works/exists?
Thanks,
Nando.
Yes it works/exists
A video has been posted on YouTube by the owner of Ozmodchips.
I'd link but I'm on a phone, do avquick search.
Mate go 2 ozmodchips it is on that site also check out you tube they have posted a video showing it working, ozmodchips is already taking orders. But as I stated earlier stay away from it at the price they want $170 bucks
Thanks
Regarding online play / updates I'd sit tight and wait for a few days, ps jb has been kept hush hush until this morning.
The dev had said the dongle is updatable, but with
updatable consoles no one can predict the future.
Other teams might release similar solutions soon,
Only issue I've heard is that it takes a long time to dump discs.
looks like sony is (sort of) confirming i is real:

$150 sounds alright to me. Looking forward to hearing more about it
Hmmmm....... bit pricey for me all I see is a flash drive with software on it
so what dose this allow you to do
besides copying games to hdd and which you also need the original in the drive to play
i would wait awhile and see where this goes
Ive read a few posts that say the usb device is not a flash drive with files but more like a hardware dongle.
the website that posted the video has pre orders for it at $170.00
Received one sample today and tested, it's real. You'll need system OS 3.41 to work with the device, so update to 3.41 when you can. Also you'll have a real game inside to be able to access the games in the ext. hard drive. It's a bit inconvenient to load the USB dongle as you have to turn the power off at the back switch first, for the slim you'll need to unplug the power cord. it takes around 1 hr to copy a game (tested with motor storm ). besides, it's a great product.
I believe this device will get cracked very soon by other teams and will have it made much more convenient to use.
