    Default would i notice the speed difference with tesltra?

    i now have a prepaid 3g optus modem cause we dont have a phone line on i want more speed but and the telstra ladie said i would notice the speed difference between the two optus and telstra plans

    Optus/Telstra can be really bad and really good ... dependant on location, number of users, distance from tower, time of day, type of modem etc, etc.

    However to generalise just a wee bit ...

    1. Telstra currently offers a higher 3g speed than Optus, in some locations, if you have an appropriate modem.

    2. Telstra has been the more expensive, so I suspect that the majority of users pre-paid casual are with Optus

    ... ergo ... the ladies claim has some basis of substance.

    Telstra has next G and is little faster than Optus 3G

    well do you reckon i would get download speeds of at least 300 kbps cause that is the max i can get with optus using internet download manager

    I've used both Optus & Telstra wireless and have found Telstra NextG to be far superior, both in speed and signal coverage.
