Default 5410z changing channel by itself??

Hmm, have an interesting problem - a Humax 5410z that doesn't get much use seems to change channel by itself. Not a real problem only that I use the LNB out port to drive a second IRD that IS used frequently - and when the Humax changes channel, its always to a particular channel that is the opposite polarity - and so the second decoder 'looses' its signal as its predominantly on the other pol.
I think what I'll do is just change the channel it keeps 'defaulting' to, to a freq and polarity that won't make the second slaved IRD upset.

Don't know why this is happening - has anyone else experienced this?

    It's a timer problem.

Select- Menu, Installation, system settings, time setting and scroll down to timer and disable it.

another method if the first don't work press the red button, then white button and exit.

Have you checked outside the window behind you?
As a kid, just when remote controlled tv's came out a mate and I had tremendous fun finding a neighbour that had the same Blaupunkt tv as us and then standing in his front yard changing the channels for him.
    Nearly started a fight inside

The mystery continues.... its still changing channel, about once every three days or so, but that varies.
It usually happens overnight. The Humax in question is inside a cabinet with doors, which are closed at night. So I doubt there's any interfering remotes that's causing the problem.
I also checked the timer - I thought that would have been the problem too. But the timer was definitely off.
There's ethernet cables running close by, I wonder if they're inducing a spurious signal to change channel every now and then?

Anyway, I'll just change the channel that the IRD keeps defaulting to, to a transponder that won't upset the slave IRD.

    Try this.
    Press the epg button.
Then press the yellow button which will bring up the Reserved screen.
If there is something there press the white button and then ok to delete.
    Then exit.
