Just got home from week at the snow. Yesterday was about as good as it gets. The crowds at Perisher weren't as bad as i thought except for the ridge quad over at blue cow and the snow held up surprisingly well even with the warm day.

We are already planning next years trip.

viper watch out for these idiots..

the problem is its not random, it's the best place to put it and it causes HUGE jams,
they're pricks for sitting there, they just keep feeding people though, it's not random, (thats supposed to be the first letter in RBT!!!) they slow it down no-one gets to work on time, it's stupid, thats why the owners are up in arms, even thier staff is stuck in the shit!!!!

eg... got friends down there that just are shitty about this!

They were out yesterday and i cant blame people for cracking the shits. Best day of the season and possibly years and they have to cause that sort of problem. It was always going to be bad with the amount of people heading out with such good conditions but they made it 5 times worse.

They were set up just after the road merges to one lane and it caused all sorts of problems. Not only was it RBT but they had the drug bus there too. The traffic was banked up right through the main road and also backed up the cars coming from the Station resort and trying to get out of Nuggets Crossing.

As i said, im now sitting at home, very unhappy that im still not there but after 6 days straight and a steep learning curve about skiing in powder im not too sure the legs had too much left in them. There were some massive stacks on Thursday trying to ski in ankle deep powder, including a flip over the to top of the ski's. And that was on a normally groomed run. Off-piste was at least knee deep and a few places up to the stock handles.

That said, yesterday was fantastic. It was almost t-shirt and no gloves weather and im now the proud owner of extreme goggle marks to prove it. Im still amazed that the snow held up as well as it did all day considering the number of people there and the 8 degree day at the Perisher village.

Well we've gone from the best/most snow in I don't know how many years to the most rain lol. I'm up here at Hotham for the weekend and looking at the it now looks like I can't get home due to flooding!

I would imagine Mt Buffalo to have had it's snow greatly affected by rain.

More snow falling today at Mt Buller.... probably at Hotham and Falls too.

Yes snow has been falling and the snow has been holding up quite well with all this rain!
