    Heh
    mines not playing up
but it is now almost 2 years old,
wouldn't hurt to have it replaced for no other reason than it's got at least a new battery

    and the serial returns

Your device has been recalled. Garmin will provide a free battery replacement and will cover the cost of shipping.

    cool. A new battery

Might hit them up for a new one, the internal drive is no longer large enough to accept the city navigator maps, even with all the other non used files removed(voices etc.)

Got mine back today. They replaced my 260W with a 255W, Map is the 2010.10
    Upgraded it already to 2010.20
They sent out a prepaid post bag and I posted it last week. New one arrived this morning via Courier
255 has a 1GB internal memory so more room for maps etc and whatever else

Yeah happy enough New GPS for nothing
Probably had a lot of old stock laying about and used the recall to get rid of them all
don't really care about map upgrades too much. I don't use the Garmin much anyway. the iGo primo powered Binatone is more usable for what I do. I just need to get XT working on it
