    Default 4gb SD Card

    Hi all

Not sure whether this is the right place for this question. Have 7" In car dvd combo with GPS. The DVD will not read any dics. Have 2 SD cards one for the GPS the other for music etc. Movies will play off the SD card but could you upgrade the card to say a 4 or 8 gb so I can put more movies on it?

All depends on if the unit can read SDHC cards which pretty much all SD cards 4gig and above are .

If you need a standard SD card, rather than the SDHC card, you still can buy 4GB standard SD cards. Transcend make a good quality one which I have used in my 2 din unit (which won't read SDHC cards). I got mine at a computer market for $23 and had previously paid more to buy them for an old HP iPAQ PDA. Here is a link (I bought my first ones here at the store).

You might be able to get them cheaper than the advertised $49. Note that the one I bought for $23 at the computer market was a much slower MLC rather than the SLC card in the link. (MLC is fast enough for your application).
