Anyone able to provide anymore assistance?
yeah doesnt sound legit. the cable is 17m anyways
Anyone able to provide anymore assistance?
You probably have done it already but got to ask. Have you set the correct info in your sat box, lnb to 5100 and an active frequency.
Yeah man box it all setup good. maybe the compass im using is buggered.
Yeah, could be. True north and magnetic north are not the same, for example, in Sydney they presently differ by 13 degrees (if I recall correctly). Also, compasses are affected by any nearby magnetic materials, such as any steel parts in your dish or mounting hardware.
Joe.
Just ignore that twaddle about the co-ax, he's probably never heard of wavelength and velocity factor of various transmission lines. Rather off topic, so I wont pursue it.
Those channels are on the 4000 H / 28125 SR, and according to the footprint, should not have any problems in Melbourne.
However you need Azimuth, Elevation and slowly sweep back and forth 'til you find the Satellite.
Input your location and Satellite here but be aware of True and Magnetic North.
yeah i attempted to set it up using dish pointer. i keep failing lol. maybe dish/lnb issue or im moving the dish too quick. need assistance for beer me thinks
ALso quite possible your LNB is not in the correct position for focal distance and skew
What Bitola is saying is that when you need to align a c-band dish, you cannot have the satfinder closer than a certain amount of cable between it and the dish. Whenever I setup a c-band dish, I have a 20m length of cable between the lnb and the satfinder to be able to align it. If I use a short length (say 1m like when I align a ku band dish), I run into problems.
