Question Is DLink AP 108 compatible with TP-Link AP108?

The title spells out my question.
Are they using the same protocol or different. Trying to see if I can utilise my Dlink and buy only one TP-Link 108 AP.
I need to use one of them as AP and another one in AP Client mode to maintain 108 Mb/s wireless connection.

I wanted to hook up the TP Link in AP client mode to my xbox360.
Since then my Dlink shit itself and I got a Netgear 108 rangemax unit. The xbox thing is still standalone.

I would like to connect to Dreambox to my router without running wires.I tried Client mode & repeater mode
it is not working. In the status page it seems to be connected i am seeing data sent from AP but it is not able to receive anything from wireless router.
