1: a fair few more dollars for the council DA approval
2: a salt chlorinator 1 size up from pools capacity
3: have the pump wired by the sparky so it runs off peak
Hi
I am thinking of putting in a pool. installing inground one of those above ground / inground pools you can get.
does anyone have any input as to what to look out for or to considder in costing?
So far i have got $6000 for the pool, $1000 for tree removal (there is a large tree in the way) $2000 to go to pool fencing and a further $1000 to go towards cement
I have not factered in the Tiles or anything yet.
I have an under cover area along the back of my house that i am thinking of putting the pump and filter there. i am also thinking of running some black pipe over the roof for heating.
What are the pros and cons for this?
Regards
Barry

Will a smart meter allow you to run the pumps off peak?
The pool in our last place had an electronic timer on the filter/pump control so you can set it to run off peak.
We purchased that pool second hand (fibreglass) on the say of friends who did and saved thousands. Pool, pump, creepy crawley, light, access etc all up $13k fully installed. Absolutely brilliant. And we could have picked one starting from around $8k. That was 4 years ago.
In our new house now and half way through recomissioning a concrete pool that has been filled in and out of action for 5 years. Cost $22k. Its a big mother
