Play PSP ISO's on your PS3 with homebrew!
I thought this warranted its own thread based on the magnitude of the news. A German hacker has made a huge breakthrough and has been able to load GTA: Chinatown Wars on his PS3 using the Backup Manager and his own ripped ISO file. Soon to be available for everyone.

Sad news for Sony and their "PSP Division" as I essentially see the device as something pretty useless...as AWESOME games, such as Metal Gear Solid titles that 'were' exclusively released for the PSP only can now feature on the PS3!

Sorry mate but unless things have changed from yesterday lunchtime, this is being called a fake.
"FAKE: modified PARAM.SFO and replaced intro video from another game.. No sound because of BIK format missmatch.
FAKE: GamerSuper is infamous for his fake releases"

Cheers waddpsw, hopefully we are proven wrong in the coming weeks/months with the limitless homebrew applications that seem to be popping up. On the bright side, a workable SNES emulator is already available

"A homebrew developer has revealed the first ever 'custom' operating system foer the PS3 known as 'PlayOS'. Essentially it is a linux based system that runs off the backup manager. The software is compatible with v3.41 only and supports .MKV files in 1080p as well as .zip, .tar, .tz, .mp3, .avi and .mp4."
