newbie needs your satellite help gents!

Hi guys
I previously posted a thread a month ago.and with more knowledge ..comes more newbie questions!

My questions and any help or pointing in the right direction would be appreciated..

I have bought a unit and found a little satellite dish on the balcony... its 65cm or 66 cm..

My questions guys:
* Can i get any FTA channels off that that would have Arabic content?

* I have seen so much on different satellite receivers? Is there a particular one that you guys recommend Humax seems to be popular..would you agree on this one?

* how hard or easy is to leard to program a card?

* Is it possible to do this realistically?

* What is A white card?!

Does anyone if there are any video tutorials aroud this stuff?

As long as your balcony is facing north, pretty sure theres some arabic channels check lyngsat.

Learn to walk before you can run
cards are no good without a properly aligned dish.

Google is a great place to learn, but seriously, if want to speed things up a bit. Take a visit to your local Satellite Shop and ask the guy/girl what it is you need to watch.

You will find most of your questions answered in the first visit

You want to learn to program a card. What card and for what service?
Nothing avaliable for Arabic channels via a home programmed card.
