Default Next G Blue Tick phones

I travel thru rural/Regional NSW at least once a week and need a phone that will get reception.

    I am considering

    Samsung A412
LG TU550 - although the more I read about this phone the leass I like it
    Ericsson Z750i

but have read varying reports on the there reception, also other issues like software etc

the Nokia 6120 and E51 seems to be getting good reports, but are not blue tick phone, and wonder what the differrence is between these and the N95 which is a blue tick phone ?

Maybe if your going around in the car abit look for a phone with a external antenna connection.
This will help alot if you have a bigger antenna on your car.

This has an external antenna port but the coverage without it is pathetic. My grandfather got one, Telstra "guaranteed" it would work at his house and it doesnt. Sad part is my Vodafone (which has a pretty sub-standard network) does!

    mud rat,

if you havent already got a next g phone, go the nokia over the lg, had an lg, was ok, but when down in a valley with some mates, had it in a car kit no service with decent antenna, mate of mine with an e51 had 1/2 service and was walking around talking on the phone. didnt take me long to find more creative ways to destroy it and get a better phone from telstra

now have a 6120 classic, kicks the lg's butt big time, features, reception battery life etc, and you can buy an antenna coupler/car cradle for it from force technology/telstra etc or search on ebay for 6120 classic antenna coupler, lookin bout 15-20 bucks,

Default Best of a bad bunch.

I've had a ZTE F 165 for about 12 months now & find it the best of Telscums next G ph's. They originally gave me a Samsung( blue tick) & that didn't pick up & work with the low signal level of the sites I work at. It's a basic ph with a shit screen, though as I said ....the best of a bad bunch.
