hi
i need schematic phoenix programmer for read this card
i have vp30 programmer but can not work with this card
and i have one question :
new sky italia card vcc is 3volt or 5volt
becuse my reader work with 5volt
is possible becuse my programmer work with 5volt not work sky italia card ?

Is the problem you're having, cooking your card? Why not drop the voltage to the card using a couple of diodes like 1n4001 in the reader you have?
Maybe someone else has a better idea?

sky italia card ND3 are 3 volt cards, will operate at 5 volts but you will damage it in the long run. The VP30 is a old card reader and wont work unless you modify it. I suggest you get another card reader like the jaycar mkII. You will need to drop the VCC form 5 to 4.5 at least , as suggested by Leroy this can be done with a zener diode (you will get about .6v drop through each diode) and dont overclock the card as this will lead to overheating also. If you try to drop the vcc to 3 volt you will need to replace the max232 buffer chip to a max3232 which will operated at the lower voltage. I read that CCcam will also damage your card , so use oscam or newcs.

is possible i add on 5v to 3.3v regulator and addon jumper for change 5v and 3.3v
in 5v line (vcc card reader )

No - what about RESET, I/O & CLOCK - all of them need to be generated from the same 3.3 volt source as well as the VCC line or you will still be feeding the card with 5 volt logic signals on these lines

thats the answer, as well as making sure your clock generating circuit can run stable from the 3.3 volt source

voltage divider 2 resistors is all you need just clcualate it or use a pot

so the max232 and the max3232 are pin for pin compatible - if its an 18 pin package its got a chip enable and a chip shutdown - pin 1 and pin 18 - tie the enable to gnd and the shutdown to vcc (pin 17)
