Default Planning route based on planned path with IGO8:

I plan 2 weeks holiday in Europe.
The idea is to start in Paris and to finish in Barcelona.
I have planned the 2 weeks trajectory on a map and now i want to feed this to IGO. I put Paris as Start and Barcelona as Destination and IGO8 calculates a route for me. This route is NOT the route i Planned.
Now, to force IGO to follow my planned path i am typing in the cities I want to go thru (VIA points) and in each city i select city-center.
IGO calculates now a new route for me. This route is good but there is a problem:
When i will navigate thru this route with IGO, I do not want to be guided to enter the city-centers which i put in just to force IGO to calculate the route as i want it to be. I just want IGO to follow the path i planned without going in and out the cities on the way.
Hope the problem is clear and someone can give me an idea how to solve it....

Have you tried changing and looking at the results of when you change the way you get there?...havent got gps in front of me...but changing to fast/shortest / scenic etc.... I get some totally different routes changing these options.

Yea, that's a bit of a problem. My suggestion would be to let iGO take you to the outskirts of your via point then just remove that via point and then iGO should route you direct to the next via point. Either that or you would need to create the via points somewhere on the route you are taking but outside the city centre, a bit more work involved but it should work.

    Wot Jards88 said.

Or plan your route using the map page and zooming in to the various via locations to add vias.

Couldn't be easier, done it plenty of time in Europe with IGO8.

Tried it before - skipping next VIA - can be a solution but you must skip in the right time when navigating. For big VIA cities not so easy...

Can be a solution but I find this method not so easy and involves much work for long routes and big VIA cities.
Should be an option in IGO8 to create PASSING THRU points that are CITIES names to pass through without entering the city...
