    You wont destroy anything... 1.7.1 will work but use a newer version of CCcam something above 2.0.5 to 2.0.8

    To update CCcam just use the blue button, Addons, Cams and download it...

    Default Set up as per Toors tut

    I have tried to alter settings already set in the GP get to Transponder Scan set up and try to set up as per Toors instruction
    Sat = OptusC1 (156.0) ok
    Alter Freq from 12406 to 12358
    Pol from vert to Horiz
    Symbol rate from 29999 to 27800
    Lock = can't
    Sync= can't
    Network search = can
    Result = zilch
    Still sticking with CCcam 1.7.1 at the moment until i can get a picture
    If i am right the original settings were for the elite channels @ F....l ?

    Can some one tell me what i am doing wrong

    You need to get it to lock and sync without any Ber error if possible.

    Make sure you have the right lnb setting, also dont be surprised if you need to adjust your lnb slightly, i had a similar problem awhile back were everything would work fine on one of my boxes but as soon as i put the dreambox in there was no signal, found that the lnb needed slight tuning, so im guessing the dreamboxes are very fussy to this which in a way is a good thing for me as when i put the other box back i had better signal.

    cable cards work fine in 500s's (hopefully for some time in future), tuning in sat dish is prob here. usually better getting tv & 500s near dish and tuning in that way.

    toor, quick question slightly off topic, if you use CCcan 2.0.5 upwards, this won't recognize aurora on keys, any work around that you (or others) are aware of...

    Whatever you do, stay away from the erase.img file. I have one perfect working unit after flashed with the erase.img, the box is now death!
