    Default Determining original music bitrate

    Here's a tricky question:

If I have a music file that may have originally been an mp3 file, then saved in Adobe Audition as a .wav file, is it possible to determine that the .wav file was in fact an mp3 in the past?

I have a folder full of music - some are original .wav files - but some are .wav that have been saved in that format from 320kb mp3 files.

I want to try to weed out the 'previously mp3' files from the true .wav

    Possible or impossible?

Maybe... wave files have "chunks" that store its format information and maybe there will be a difference between the converted and original you can use to decide. Right click and view the Properties and Summary tab, Advanced.
