Default Humax 5400z No Siganl Quality/Strength

I went to watch some TV last night and I had "No or Bad Signal" on the screen.
After checking the menus I saw that there was no Signal Strength or Quality, the same sort of thing if the LNB isn't plugged in at all.

I reset the box and I got signal back for about 5-10 minutes, then the same thing... I left the box off overnight... still no signal in the morning....

I've check all my cabling, I've checked the voltage rails on the power supply so now I'm down to either a faulty box or faulty LNB. The LNB is only a few months old so I'm kinda ruling that out for the short term, but I will test it on someone elses dish when I can...
Just wondering if this is a common fault for the Humaxs which might have a fix?

    Thanks

where abouts are you located??? Maybe someone here could pop in and try their decoder to see if thats the problem.
I had a similar problem once with my humax but it lasted a whole of 10-20 minutes. It was a bad storm going passed.
Seems like you have a different problem. Could your have slightly moved?
Re-check your plugs from lnb to decoder.

Its gotta be more than just the dish moving, as one of the signal levels always has something as soon as the LNB is plugged in, then the other ones goes up when I actually have signal when I find the right satelite.... So its not a positioning thing

Check to see if you have any voltage coming out of the tuner. You may not be sending power to the lnbf which would explain the zero signal level.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

Well I went out this morning and came home this afternoon... turned the box on and its working again....(been going for about an hour now)hard to troubleshoot when its working.... What kind of voltage should I get out of the LNB socket? I'll check that if it fails again.
    Thanks

If you are on a horizontal trasponder then the voltage should be around abouts 17-18 volts, and if you are on a vertical transponder then the voltage should be around 13-14 volts.
