I think you could format SD card, download Igo8.3 or primo with the latest AUS map and load in device. I had GNS 8430 and loaded some Navi software without problem. I can upload my SD card for you to try, if you're interesting, but the folder about 350mb.

    O.K,

I started upload, will give you link in the morning.

    Regards Joe.

Here the link uploaded for you:

This folder took from my SD card uses for Uniden, copy whatever folder and files on your SD card save somewhere on PC for backup later, if mine not work for your device. Format sd card then extract rar into sd card, do not change anything, put the card back on device, power-on, if auto doesn't load to Navi, you have to press Navigation button. Let's me know, i'll try my best to help.

    Regards Joe.

    Thumbs up

Downloaded data, installed on new 1Gb SD card then booted up.
    OK
But seems as though the screen resolution is not right.
Your GNS 8430 screen size is a bit larger the the GNS 8400.
Can this be changed to properly fit the 8400?

    Thanking you for the Data

    Hi!
Do you know what's size your unit resolution? mine 480x272, if you find out your unit res, i try looking data.zip for you.

    Regards Joe.

If you saved old folder on PC, opened it and look on data.zip/igo_se1/this part shows your unit resolution

From what I have been able to find the screen resolution appears to be 320X240 the same as the 3.5 inch model.

    Cheers, Ian

    @alat97!

I read on manual GNS 8400, and did not say resolution, but as Jards88 adviced, it should be the right one for your device resolution.
Here the link for data 320x240 just uploaded, incluced new igo.exe and sys.txt, i tried this data on device Emulator and confirm it's working. Download then replace on folder MobileNavigator, remember rename igo.exe to MobileNavigator.exe, and delete save folder before reload:
