    Default Greeting Card Switch??

    Hi Guys,
I'm getting back into pic programming, and am looking at making Mum a talking
greeting card in time for Mother's Day, as a further development of this project:

I started a few years ago.
It took some time just to figure out how I converted the sound file, but now
I have it all sussed except for the swich in the card itself that has to detect
    the card is open.
Sounds easy with aluminium foil, but I'd prefer a switch that is closed when the
card is open so the battery will last (so she can show people for time to come).
    Cheers, Art.

A little piece of spring metal, a contact plate and a little piece of cardboard that slides between the contact plate and the spring metal. The cardboard is attached about 3mm away from the spine on the opening side. This will give it a 6mm throw when the card is opened and closed.

    Hope that makes sense.

    Thanks covert,
Someone has offered to send me a real musical Christmas card,
so I'll be able to salvage the real switch from it
    Cheers, Art.
