Default Analogue connections on the UEC receiver

Tried the component out connection on the VAST box last night and the result was a shocker. Just wondering if this is a fault with the particular box or is it a generic issue. There will be plenty of people in the bush with older monitors that don't have a HDMI connection - think they deserve better.

Tried a number of different standards of component wiithout any noticeable improvement. Understand that HDMI will produce a better result generally than component, but not this much. eg on the Octagon, the component is just a tad less efficient than HDMI.

    Hi,

Flying in the dark here, with no knowledge of that receiver or it's menu system...but..

On many of the older UEC's you actually had to change the video settings in the main menu's to get different outputs to work, and perhaps that is the case here?

As I say...comments only with no actual authority to test....

I hope it is not like you say, otherwise that is terrible news.
