    Default SmartWi and a Whitey

    I currently have an Octagon 518 and have a whitey on its way to me. I'm considering getting a second STB so I'm looking at CS.

    I've been reading about the SmartWi and how its meant to keep the card cooler then most STB. I haven't really been able to find out how it goes at AU. Does it depend on what STB is used with it? I don't really know how this works.

    I always have a client in my humax and my whitey auto updates fine in the smartwi but I havent seen an Octagon, if its got genuine licenced Irdeto softcell then you should be ok, its the unlicenced softcells that seem to be a problem with AU whitey
