Default Vu+ Duo Internal Smart Card Reader

Probably a dumb question so the flame proof suit has been put on, Are the 2 internal smart card slots only for xcrypt and conax cards only?

To use a poxtel card ( mr blue ) i guess i need to have a cam?, any preferences to what type will work best with this box.

At a guess ( note guess ) a Foxtel card would work in the slot, after all the box is literally the same as a Dreambox. So any softcam that works with NDS in a Dreambox should work.

I thought that might have been the case but i cant get it to work, is there any way to see if the 2 smart card readers are enabled, i can see the 2 cam slots via the menu but the not the internal smart ones.

I have tried a whitey and mr blue in the 2 slots but i dont even get a message that the card has been inserted etc

Have you got an emu loaded? Run with cccam for a start and make sure the cccam.cfg is setup correctly.

Got it working with the vti 2.1 image, will play with other images maybe over the weekend.

Its not my fox card so had to give mr blue back, just wanted to make sure box was working ok as i couldnt get the internal readers working at first, but have mr white and aurora going atm with a cam.

Will try PLi image next and see which i prefer, vti is good for those like me that like to be able to add emu with the click of a button and not have to manually install ( lol )

Thanks for all your help guys..

Default Poxstar and VU + Duo

I am thinking of getting one of these . I had an ultraplus 9000 and had my poxstar card working in it off and on with various plug ins even tho it was "married " to the box .
Any one had any luck with this card and the Duo ??
    Cheers
