    Default Vb.net

    Hey Guys,
I need to learn VB.NET. I have never properly done any programming but I would like to be able to make applications for the windows environment and script in Powershell (As I will be responsible for supporting windows 7 when we deploy it at work next year). I live in melbourne so I had considered studying it at Box hill or Holmesglen TAFE but at $400 for two days worth of classes it's expensive as hell. Any suggestions on a cheaper way to learn what I need to. Also I'm pretty bad at learning out of a text book I prefer to learn visually or interactively.

Hi Mokilok, I would have to say get some books on programming VB.NET but you can find some good tutorials on youtube showing the basics of VB.NET i've put one link below but have a look you'll find plenty more.

    Code:
    http://www.freebookspot.me/Default.aspx
You mention that you do not like books, so may not be any good to you BUT entering vb.net or visual basic into title may help a little in kicking it off just to get an overview on it maybe

credit to whomever provided that website on austech I forget whom it was now

If you feed ducks at a pond, chances are your bound to feed a goose or two without even knowing it.

    Hi Mokilok,

Why do you need to learn VB.NET?
Is there anything stopping you from learning something else?
Do you have a project you are working on?
Fo you have any selection criteria for the language, IDE or target platform you intend on using/targeting?
