Default New local Aussie Sat hobbyist.

Hi. Just a brief message. I am 45 yo Satellite hobbyist whose has set-up six sat dishes ( five Ku-Bands and one C-Band dish, 180cm solid ) as all of them is static without rotating equipment installed. All of 'em sited at the backyard as all of you have it too, while 180cm C-Band dish mounts on ground as nobody see it there as it is well-hidden behind the relatively small fence ! Got four sat receivers ( eM-Tech EM200, STRONG SRT 4652 with 192p patch installed, sec-handed FO*TEL Pace DS420 and newly-bought Dreambox DM500S via eBay service ) and bit kinda damn proud of it, don't ya say ??

    Default Pace DS420

    Hi
I have a Pace DS420 which I picked up from a garage sale. It is an old F##tel box and I have accessed the settings by using 0611 to get to the transponder settings. However when i change then to access Aurora FTA channels the box scans and then just returns to the F**tel menu.
Can anyone tell me how I can use this box to accept my Optus smartcard so that I can access the FTA channels like ABC, SBS, Imparja etc.
    Thanks

    G'Day Cobber,
    This is what I have:-
" Foxtel Digital pace box: 0611 , in the menu after system setting u press 0611 and then select and it takes you into the installer set up."
    You could try 9949.
What I suspect is that you are not saving changed settings.

There was a procedure for Over The Air update.

    Software update:

Press "back" and "select" on the STU (front panel - not remote).
Wait for all lights to come up and press:

    "power"
    "up"
    "down"
    "power"

Then let it do it's thing.

Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".
