sorry I think I am clutching at straws here. I dont have a VB installed at present
but when you have VB setup and installed/running BT4, have you bridged the wifi connection?
Gidday,
Not sure were this should have gone.
I have windows XP as a host system, Virtualbox (VB) as a visualization platform and am running Backtrack4 (BT4) within that Virtual system.
I have a Netgear WG111v2 USB dongle connected to the system.
If I run Backtrack from a USB drive as the sole OS I can set up the dongle and monitor all off air traffic on the 2.4 GHz spectrum, whether associated or not with an Access point.
However, when running BT4 under VB on XP I can not configure the dongle.
I know this is a relative hardcore application I am attempting but has anyone here played with similar arrangement and can offer advice?
thanks for looking in.
regards
porkop
