WiiKey 2 in a d2e drive with epoxy removed.

What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

What was your method of eproxy removal? Got my first one here that is my own wii and just researching up on the best way to remove the eproxy as I dont do many modchip installs, if you grind what bit do you use? is it the small sanding drum?

BTW dont you need dual wires for the power and ground? I have been using 2 strands of Kynar, or is it not needed?

No heat used. Chemicals are used which takes a little longer, but I prefer the results.

No need for two wires for the power and ground. Just need to pick up the better power closer to the incoming feed of the drive for the wiikey to avoid the eject issue that some drives suffer from.

paint stripper works , just try to avoid the ones with acetone in them
takes a long time to do , but it is a very clean job with nearly 0% chance of damage

It is recommended that you use thicker wire for the ground and 3v3. Around 22 AWG. It will help reduce ejection issue's on problematic drives.

It doesn't matter what chip you use. The all suffer from ejection issues on certain drives. The problem has occurred with chips from the Wiikey V2 up to the D2Pro.

The thicker wire is an absolute joke. The kynar wire can supply far more current than any of the chips on the market need, even if you left the whole role of the stuff in there. In any case, take these discissions out of this thread please, it is meant for install pics only, not discussions.
