Thought i would pass on the good news, got my ALTEC UEC vast set top / decoder today from he told me to tell all my friends, as i have been a long time reader i thought i would give him a plug. i'm sure he's on here too.

i asked him for a good price and he did $249.00 plus next day 5kg bag delivery.

Looks a little strange to me, that you're saying it has great picture.... when it's not even activated yet???

Hate to burst your bubble, but if you're in Sydney (as your name suggests) you won't get the card activated at all if you have digital terrestrial signal available in your area, and if you're in a blackspot, that's not on the TV1 area map, then it will be 6 months prior to analog shutoff, which for Sydney is 31 December, 2013.

The same applies for all your 'friends'.

Anyone can buy the box..... getting it activated is another story.
