pc to pli streaming

having a bit of trouble getting my mutant 200s running pli jade to stream from pc.

I have VLC 0.86i running with http interface set up. Movieplayer installed on 200s and can cursor through the pc's directory structure and select a movie (avi) to play.

However, I get "buffering: finished 0%" displayed on teh 200s and "unreconised format..." on teh pc.

What am I doing wrong??

There was some talk years ago about a VLC plugin for the 200s which would allow you to stream a .avi from a PC, but there were varying reports of success with it. Generally speaking though, streaming was mainly the other way 200S -> PC

Yes there was some sort of plugin but nowadays there is a plugin called "movieplayer". I have had it working on a PC to DM500 some time back
but that dm500 has gone to god along with my memory of how I did it.

I have followed the instructions from teh net, and as far as I can see, the files are able to be selected from within teh mutants (and also my dm7020) FILE menu option and I can browse around on the PC file system and even select a file to play, but as stated, that is were it stops. I have tried several AVI's just make sure it isnt a codec issue which it isnt.

The mutant wants to play it and the PC starts to stream but stops straight away and reports an error with the file, any file.
