Answer: On mine it was caused by a capacitor on the circuit board. Its button shaped and its just up from the s2 button its labeled 'C13'
Part # EECS0HD334V or a suitable equivalent.
Cost me $3
I replaced it and it works perfectly.

Hey mate
I saw your post about the gliderol door stopping by itself
And that toy replaced the capacitor.
Anyway I was wondering how did you work out it was the capacitor?
I can see my capacitor has a brown crust around it meaning its on its way out
But I'm curious to know how did you figure it out it's the capacitor and not something else?
