here is it the Video Tutorial for using Scorpion, and get the keys of the drives without cuts, nor solder nor glue.

To use the Scorpion you will require to apply the GECKO 1.01 fw update on your Lizard, please go to our downloads page go get the FW updater application and read the first sections on the Manual to understand how to update

Please note every Lizard must connect to download its own update.

done a few consoles so far this morning,

    very very impressed.

its not JF so it does take a bit of time to get used to what you need to do.
But its soo quick and soo easy to use.

It'll be ALOT better once they release the lizard firmware so you can store the drive firmware on a microSD card in the lizard.

9 rubber chickens out of 10

Only let down is having to use the PC to "send / receive" files.

Those of you who have pre-ordered, take your time and get used to the 360lizard, its not JF so you will need to learn how to use it. But once you've got the hang of it zomg.

Myself and a few others are on the IRC channel irc://efnet/maximuslizard providing support.

Apparently the no cut /no solder solution (the Cap method)has been known for awhile and was deemed unsafe that is why the cut method went because its way safer and more safer and stable

lol? common you don't really believe that do you?
"apparently" means one goose posting something on the internet.

The only "dangerous" aspect is the clips that connect to the tranny, if you short these out it will spark . But ensuring your drives turned off before connecting them up, you can avoid this problem.

I extracted keys just under 20 times from a lite-on drive yesterday whilst shooting the video loll (which is still work in progress).

IMHO this method is ALOT safter than cutting / soldering for DIY / beginners, I assume a lot less lite-on drives will be coming in for repair.

Ok for you as you are experienced but in the wrong hands someone with no experience can cause a problem there was one case when touching mpx01 (big pad), within a second, smoke appeared from other side of board case, just need to be extra careful I suppose

Sure that wasn't a comment coming from the other side of the fence?

So much mudslinging is going on from both sides, its hard to see whats true.

I'm stocking both items because Xecuter fan boys, will be Xecuter fan boys.

You need to touch MPX01 to extract the key. I haven't seen any smoke yet though.

Just flashed my first unit ever. Coming from a complete nub it was really straightforward and didn't involve as much hair pulling as I would of thought.
The power source had me going me for a bit but logic got the better of me.

    What a great little unit!

    Yes, they can/should.

Think of it as a small computer, it's updatable to support new drives.

However currently no slim firmware is available.

Can any of the Slims 360s be flashed with the Lizard or are they all 225 drives

I normally use Dosflash for Samsung and Benq Drives would the Lizard be quicker or slower then Dosflash

There are four types of drives in the slims, currently only the first type 9504 liteon can be modded. Lizard can do this in standalone mode.

Make sure you get a decent opening kit for the slims and take care when removing the front panel though the ribbon cable is easy to damage.
