Logicom
Hey Guys,
Just to back the MCM panels rock theory, went an old Wormald Install the other day, panel was put in about 1991, Logicom panel, 6 Topaz Detectors reporting in 4+2, mate, i was the 2nd tech there, customer has not had false alarms and last service logged was 1994, after b&e siren cover replaced :P
I replaced the plugpack and battery, re commissioned & left.
What a system eh? (although topaz are terrible, they seem to have done this customer well over the years, the range was quite poor, but did trip)
My 2 cents worth

I agree , fairly bulletproof , the only strange problem I.ve had is three of them losing the user codes in one week - never got to the bottom of that. Their biggest shortcoming is they only have a static not dynamic battery test. It is simply pointless to check the battery condition when the AC goes off
ive had them dump there programming for no reason as well
Yeah common problem, usually after a storm
this was while i was programming it though. Spoke to mcm and they said it happens sometimes. Apart from that there a pretty solid panel and reliable to.
