    Default Are the new red Wii consoles use Wode

    Hi I am thinking about buying a Wode v2 for my new Wii but it's the new red 25th anniversary mario console seen here before I go out and spend money on the Wode mod will it work this this version Wii.

    Yes
    It works fine.

    Did a few pre-modded consoles for customers this week, everyones buying up for x-mas
    White / Red combo looks nice IMHO.

    WODE works with every console and every firmware to date.

    what is the advantage of using a wode over a softmodded wii and usb hdd which is what I have?

    You dont have to worry about running f/w updates on WODE, & pretty much every game works without patching etc.....with soft-mod you need to watch out for updates & need to update the system on new games....having said that if ur in touch with what to do then its not an issue, but many people are not that technical or couldnt be bothered with updating .

    I have found the softmod to be great I haven't updated the firmware unless you mean ios for newer games. I really dont see the point in something like wode, each to their own I guess

    Does the wode work if the latest firmware is installed?
    Are there any restrictions?

    Its a WODE = WII Optical Disc Drive Emulator.

    It emulates the dvd drive found in Wii consoles.

    Hard to block without blocking all the other real dvd drives.

    wiikey2, Donkey Kong Country Returns is getting error #002.
    anyone encounter this ?
    and is there a solution ?
