Default reformatted Laptop now no wireless!!!

    Hi Guys,
I just reformatted my laptop and reinstalled XP and now I cannot for the life of me install the wireless network adaptor with original laptop disk, or download.

it just shows a conflict in the device manager and displays each and every boot.

Is there anyway to force install this? (i have tried uninstalling already)

    Mick

One of two things, SP2 or Wireless driver not installed, (obviously. What I mean is what does the uninstalled driver conflict with?).
You might also check what version of Microsoft Net Framework you have installed

thanks for the reply mate, I got it sorted in between.

It was that it was selected never to go to ms updates for driver update, deselected and run install of adaptor again, BINGO, all good now!

Why did you reformat it? Did the drive have sector table errors?
