PS2 Repairer
Hi all,
My friend recived a modded (im told it was chipped and i managed to get the boot loader up once but never again) PS2 slim (76000 from memory but i will check at home tonight) and it is not reading CDs.
Ive tried putting dvds in, copied games (no genuine ones though) and all the time i get the message, please insert sony playstation CD.
Ive had a search for help on this model (but to no avail, i think it might be an asian classification) and so i wanted to ask if there was any repairers in melbourne who might be able to help out.
I have no idea about modding PS2's and wanted to get this fixed for him. Any ideas?

Probbaly a dodgy solder join/ wire come off....did u get it sorted m8?
I can do PS2 repairs, but not with mddoing (chips) on the SLIM PS2 ad advised earlier. I don't have fine enough equipment for that...and ON that very note; anyone in Melb want to do me a favour (get a quick job) doing an install for a modbo 4.0, where chip/wiring are supplied? Jjust the skill and solder iron to do it..
Cheers and goodluck Ratty with getting that help.

Are you in Melb?
I can take a look for you, done at least 200 PS2 slims
Ragnarok - Yeah im in melb. In the city most days.
Hughdman - I tried that and i got the loader, all i could get out of it was the title "matrix". (i think the controllers might be busted, i cant seem to navigate [using the d-pad or analog stick], so that is all i could find out)
Roosta - thanks for the tip and your honest opinions, sorry i havent got back to you, have been flat out at work (everyone wants something done before christmas!!!!)
