What are you going to install to replace it ?

you will need the new OS install disk,

Then when installing the New OS, delete the Partition, Make a new one, Format the Partition & follow the prompts to install the New OS.

Have you installed a New OS before ?

if you do, you may, or may not, have to find drivers to work with your hardware (PC) e.g, NIC drivers, Graphics card drivers, motherboard drivers etc...

Maybe your Windows XP just needs a good cleanup, defrag, & Disk Check,

also, maybe you could restore the Windows XP to Factory shipping Conditions, with the restore disks or Hard drive recovery,

All depends what you want to do ?

    Good Luck

    sorry , I didn't read it right,

The OP was only talking about the help & support in Windows XP

    my bad

If you just want to remove Help & Support from the Start menu,

    1. Right click the Windows, Start button

    2. Select properties

    3. Select Customize

    4. Select Advanced

    5. Go to, Start menu Items

    6. Untick the box, Help & Support

    7. Click Ok

    8. Click Ok

(......to uninstall completly try what Philquad said)

Thanks, I ended up taking Philquad's advice and disabling the service, then I did a google search and found some registry keys to edit to remove it from the start menu, whilst I was there, I also removed logoff and documents, I am running the classic start menu.

    Cheers, Gab
