    Default Vast and Aurora cards.

I heard that Aurora IR2 card holders to be switched on to be able to access Vast services.

    Can anybody confirm ?

In that case the Ultra's and all the HD Mediastar's are goers,

According to their new INFO CHANNEL on
    12448 V 30000 APID 801 VPID 802 FTA

The VAST system is separate from AURORA

Also, the correct channel labels have replaced TEST on 12369 V 30000
    West Digital
    GWN
    WIN WA 16:9

    Nope... two entirely different services.

The only way you can get VAST at the moment, is to purchase a UEC VAST decoder and smartcard, then apply to have the smartcard activated from 15 December, providing of course you are in the TV1 remote map area.

Based on what Impaja has on its Homepage regarding 2013, I would expect not only Impaja to 'switch off' from Aurora then but C7 for the eastern states as well.
WA will of course depend on what happens in the meantime but I would not be surprised to see those channels go as well along with ABC/SBS at the same time.

Unless there's CAID 0602 (IRDETO1) or 0626 (IRDETO2) in the emm stream then forget about using AURORA cards.

I noticed on the VAST info channel.

" The VAST system is separate to Aurora, set top boxes and smart cards are not interchangeable"
    And this bit
" To access the full range of VAST services in the future, it is recommended that a wideband (11.7 to 12.75GHz)LNB is used"

Not yet.. but according to here

"The new satellite service will be available to viewers who are unable to receive adequate local digital television services from existing terrestrial transmitters. It will also be available to viewers in remote Australia and those who currently rely on the Remote Area Broadcasting Service (RABS). This satellite service is also known as Aurora. "

So looks like a swap... at some stage in the future.

Ooo, do they have an info channel now like Aurora? Which TP? Found it. :P

I much prefer the new website than MySatTV. It would be nice if SC/Imparja incorporated their webform with the new site, to make it easier for applicants. Two FAQ's, two forms, two points of contact, it just seems unnecessary and time consuming.

so everyone i still stuck with "wash your hands" "don't sleep on the road" i thought VAST made these channels a thing of the past?

Why bother upgrading from aurora if you're still stuck with the same?

For a start, Aurora will be switched off by 2014 it seems and what your seeing on the current Aurora is mostly what is on the individual channels on VAST.
Impaja is clone of the Nine/WIN network as C7 (Southern Cross) is of the Seven/Prime only the licence names are different.

    ARE YOU CRAZY!!!

haven't been activated yet, but I'm sure you'll get don't sleep on the road in widescreen and 5.1 surround. that's gotta be better

Although being in NSW it's still gunna be annoying having the 1 hour delay during daylight saving.

All channels available in NSW/Vic/Tas are local time anyway. So besides the box it really is a much better service.

My Vastly better service that i applied for
On the 15th late in the afternoon took the full

Happy to have the service b4 the xmas break.
