Zero Day Malware Protection
This is for anyone interested in having a little extra protection whilst online against malware. I'm having a look at "ThreatFire" at the moment. The story goes that ThreatFire uses behavioral analysis techniques to detect and stop malware from running on your system.
EDIT:- Seems to be low on using system resources which is good.
At the moment I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials with Threatfire running in the background.
ThreatFire must be used alongside your normal Antivirus package. You can't just rely on ThreatFire alone.
EDIT:- If anyone else knows of similar software that does the same job i'll be interested in any replys for testing.

Statistically, if you wait long enough, everything will happen!
Yeah it had me stuffed but anyway I'm just as bad with spelling and punctuation because I very rarely check what I'm writing. LOL
I could be mistaken but ThreatFire won't do anything to stop the likes of cookies which adaware detects and removes. But seems to have a good stop rate on malware and adware.

It also has a small footprint which is good considering alot of software these days uses upso much memory and cpu. Obviously the footprint will increase once suspect files are detected.
Here's a picture of it running showing the usage.

Here's some youtube links to someone who has reviewed an earlier version of ThreatFire. I think it's well worth looking at.
