    Default xbox wifi connection?

Not very xbox savvy but what options do I have for remote wifi connection to our aapt speedtouch wireless modem for my sons xbox360?
    Are there xbox specific adapters?
Can I purchase a wireless router/port (not sure of the correct terminology)
Will the usb dongle that come with the modem work?

What are the pros and cons of each option.

    Thanks in advance

    Regards Craig

There used to be some "Game Adapters" available from Netgear and also D-Link that I knew of. They have not been available for sometime now as far as im aware, but you would just use a cheap access point that supports client mode to do the same thing.

If your meaning an xbox 360, then there is an adaptor from M$ available for them but I think its probably cheaper to go with the above option there too.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

You can set up a WDS connection with any router that support it. My friend did it with a Belcom (sp ?) and a Linksys WRT54G.

I set mine up with 2 WRT54G's with DD-WRT firmware on them. The stability was amazing and 2 antenna's from made the signal nice and strong.

Good wiki page on setting up WDS on 2 dd-wrt routers.

By reading this, you have already given me control over a tiny slice of your mind
