Default VAST service with existing Aurora card and set top box

    Hello,
I've just been reading over the new VAST service that has been activated for Aurora viewers on the 15th of December, and I had a quick question: Am I able to register on the MySwitch website with my existing Aurora smartcard and Irdeto box details?

    Thanks for your help.

    Conor.

    Conor.
    No. Not quite.

You need a new VAST box with its unique VAST Card and enter those details, along with your address, etc. . If you also have an authorised Aurora card you also enter the Aurora card details (but not the details of the irdeto box you are presently using with the Aurora card.)

Go to and you will see if you read the all the info and follow the links.

Providing Aurora card details during the application process only helps them identify if you are in genuine need of VAST. They can pull up your name, address etc. The actual Aurora card will never be used to decrypt VAST channels, if that's what you're asking. As earlsdon pointed out, you will need a VAST card and set-top box combo.
