    Default SYS.TXT Questions

    Just wondering if anyone has a list of commands or a very comprehensive sys.txt file i could copy off.

    I want to set my gps so that the Aussie voice is defult when youn turn it on (not the US Susan). Is there a command in sys.txt for that?

    Also, how do I get it to have Off-route recalculation set each time?

    - I have an ebay special and have had success updating the igo8 software as well as maps but limited success with the sys.txt file.

    Hi kennef
    google sys.txt for a world of answers.
    Both these are generally set inside the program under 'Settings'. Sometimes a Skin can help in fine tuning the setup.If they are not being saved after you have selected them, then there could be a problem with your unit/software.

    If you put autoreplan_action="On" under [Navigation] in the sys.txt, it will lock in off-route recalculation.

    It is best to keep the sys.txt as small as possible.
    cheers

    Mine saves after I select it under Regional and press 'ok'
    You may want to rename your save file and re run iGO initialization.

    Default Sys.txt and Power options ?

    When I turn power off at the key, the system goes into a Suspend mode...

    When I restart the car, it comes backup but is Frozen... Does not respond.

    Use the button on the GPS to put into suspend and then bring it back and all working..

    Any suggestions as to the power options in the sys.txt

    kukuk:

    This was my sys.txt before:

    [rawdisplay]
    screen_x=480
    screen_y=272

    [debug]
    skip_eula=1

    [interface]
    maxzoom2d=6000000
    show_exit=1

    Now I have put a couple more commands in it is better...

    @comp_dad,

    That is a known bug with some versions of iGO8 only on some devices. It does not happen with Primo. To disable auto shutdown, add the following under the [interface] section of Sys.txt.

    shutdown_time=0

    That will stop it shutting down automatically so you can do it manually.

    Cheers, Ian
