Default PS2 faulty AV out port

Hi guys, I have my grandsons slim 70002 PS2 here and it has a faulty AV out port.
I'm sure it's not the cord connecting it to the av on the tv as I've used the one off my PS2 that they use when they come over and it works fine.
Also, their cord works fine on my console.

What is happening is, there is nothing showing on the tv screenwhen it's powered up, but if you wiggle the cord in the port, it will boot up ....sometimes, but not very often.

The console has a Matrix infinity chip, if that's any help.

Can it be repaired or is it a new motherboard?

    tia

Prob the port itself has bad contact with the pins or dry solder joints on motherboard.

Most likely mechanical damage only , doubt any circuit is actually fried.

Check the solder joins on the AV connector.
Have had one which would work for 1st 5 mins then no video, which means mobo issue.
