Problems running iGO8 on Navman n40i (Win CE Core 5.0)

Hey all,

I was hoping someone could offer some assistance with my problem with running iGO8 on my Navman n40i (Win CE Core 5.0)

Basically, everytime I execute iGO8 it just reboots my device.

I have unlocked my Navman, and have copied the iGO8 folder to my SD card (root\iGO8). The version of the iGO8 I downloaded contains 3 exe's in the base folder --

iGO8.exe
iGO8_2.exe
iGO8_f.exe

Running any of these just reboots the device and takes me back to the win "desktop".

Has anyone come across this before? Let me know what other info I should provide in order to troubleshoot this issue.

BTW this is a great forum, have just come across it but contains a wealth of information -- kudos to the community for all the shared collective knowledge.

I prefer igo8.3.4 but on my Dads Navman I always had issues so I put igo Primo on it and it worked ok.

yep igo8 on a navman n40i is a tricky beast..just when you think you have it, whammo..desktop.

all i can suggest it to try a few different versions of igo8 ... one will work...i could give you the version number that does work on mine but my navman n40i is currently with on of the kids...it has igo8 running perfectly.

also tomtom works fine on the navman as well again the version number i cant tell you but when the units back ill post it up
