Default CSD Vision Pro DVR Software on Mac

Please excuse my ignorance with MAC computers, but does anyone know work around to use the web browser to access the CSD Vision Pro DVR (or any DVR for that matter) on a MAC other than running parallel OS.

When using the web browser the login screen comes up etc, but then it asks to load Active X which I realise will not run under MAC.

I have heard it can be done, but I am having trouble finding someone to help.

    Please Help.

You can always download the Microsoft ActiveX SDK for Mac, learn how to write code and practice until you get it working flawlessly, or pay $40 on the net for some kids ActiveX crossover for Mac and pray it works with the DVR.

Finally, you can buy a DVR that runs on the QT platform such as an Avtech DVR where no long hours of R&D are requried and you can stream video straigh to your Safari browser.

I know there's something in the works for macs, no idea what / when

you could always VNC into a PC from the MAC?, not elegant but will also save you a heap of bandwidth

You can use a program called Codeweavers Crossover

This will allow you to run windows programs on Macs without having to Run seperate OS.

Not a bad application but DVR's are no more and more being able to run on both Mac and Windows,,

    Hope this helps you !!!
