hey guys,

i have an old humax 5400 box.

although i can find the channels some of them seem really distorted.

For example: Pink channel is stuck and frozen on a picture, Pink Plus although i can hear the singing on the show it is miles away from being synchronised to the picture lol.

is anyone else experiencing this and can help?

I just want to get the serb channels for my mum while they last.

any assistance or advice would be appreciated.

Yes, Some of the channels seem to be broken up. On my 1m dish the signal strength and quality is good for this satellite. So problem with the link somewhere.

I've got a humax 5400z and had an issue with almost inaudible sound on yes italia, I found that pressing the green button on the remote (soundtrack button) brought up a display on the top left of the screen. You need to use to the left or right arrow button to toggle the audio to the left, right or both. Mine seems to work with the left selected, if I select right, yes italia is ok but rai news sound is bad.

I still find the the sound is slightly out of sync with the picture on all the Italian channels except rai italia.

From my first post, all channels are still FTA, and receivable from anywhere in Australia with a good dish in-line with the bird.

Don't know for how long, so enjoy while they are there.

Bare in mind, as others have mentioned, unsure why the quality is terrible on some.
My sig & quality levels are 100% & 98%, yet I'm having the same issues as everyone else.
It isn't you, and I dare say it isn't the sat either, it's more than likely the feed into the ground station prior to being transmitted to the bird, then down to us all.

So yes, those poor quality channels make the RBA "aurora" channels look perfect.
They are not all like that though, as some are very good quality.

Alot of these channels aren't watchable at times here is an example of Pink Plus the other day...

yes the serb channels 'pink' is really all im interested in.

im assuming this has a lot do to with the fact that most of us have the good old humax 5400's and they are not compatible with mpeg4 which is what these channels are being transmitted as....

I usually insert video stream URLs into my mediacenter software and watch them directly on my LCD TV. Unfortunately I haven't checked these connections for a while and can't do so (read: can't be bothered) from this Posix PC.
