    Default Increased aircraft activity

Hey, I live in the dandenong ranges in vic, and over the last couple of months, I've noticed a large increase in aircraft activity, planes and helicopters. I can think of several reasons, in that it's holiday season, so many people are probably going overseas and up to QLD etc, and the increased helicopters could have something to do with the government getting ready for the fire season. I just thought I'd share this observation here, and ask for your theorys on it, what other reasons might there be increased aircraft activity.

ADB-S or other tracking will help you work out what's going on.

Dont laugh, there are some hippy types up there, i mentioned it to my son when we were up their the last 2 weekends, i wouldnt be surprised if there are a number of crops around.

I dont think the aircraft had anything to do with fire watching, its too cold and damp ATM.

Could it be related to the floods? Many major roads have been cut and the only way to ferry anything is by air. Not just food and necessities but people as well. One possible explanation.

its all the upper crust and intellectuals heading over to the Ark's A & C being built in preparation on the end of the world in 2012. The rest of us will be in Ark B and will head off first to make the new home pretty and have clean telephones.
