    Default Trying to delete admin user account?

    as above.i am trying to delete the admin user account on my windows xp computer.it keeps looking for a file :

    windows\system32\1.tmp.

    it also comes up with unable to log on because of an account restriction.
    this pc was used in my shop but as we no longer have the shop i was going to use it at home.it never had a password on the computer so i am at a loss.any ideas other than formatting the computer?

    Hi Warrick, looking a some other forums the suggestion might be that you download a copy of maywarebytes and run a scan and see if it detects any problems as you may have a Trojan.

    It's an issue with IE, it's ok with Firefox.

    Definately IE only here, Firefox is fine.
    Edit : Also fine on Google Chrome.

    Although I don't normally use I.E. (I have used Firefox for years now), it gives the same problem here with IE6.

    Both Firefox and Safari render the page correctly.

    You can just change the password using the 'net user' command.
    Boot into the command line or open the command prompt and type:

    net user Administrator *

    It will ask you for the new password.
