Default AWM/Perth Mint 50th Anniversary Commerative Medallions

I have been after these for quite a while as a mate got a set a while back and I have been hunting since then. Unfortunately ( if your looking for one ) or fortunately ( if you have one ) they only minted 3000 of these. This set is number 35, my mate ironically has 42.

Each medallion is 50 grams of pure .999 silver, so all up we have 300 grams or 10.5821 ounces. Current silver value as of this moment is $29.02 an ounce so about $307.10 in scrap value alone.

Not that I would scrap them, as there are only 3000 they should be worth something in the future. Scrap value just gives you a minimum value.

The Perth Mint is in the CBD and has daily gold pouring that you can watch. They also have a deal where if you can lift a big nugget you can keep it.

I have a couple of 1 dollar coins that I made myself (!) at a Aust War Memorial special event.
