    Default 2x 1988 $10 Bicentennial UNC

I've got 2x 1988 $10 Bicentennial notes, the worlds first Polymer note.
Serials numbers are only 3 apart, shame they are not consecutive.
Uncirculated notes I picked these up when I was working for a foreign exchange company in Sydney airport.
They are miscut on the lower edge.
A problem that the printers had to overcome given the slippery nature of the note sheets they were cutting.
Wonder what they would be worth?

someone would of made the offer so I figured it may as well be me

I actually had one of those and I gave it to family friends in America. They gave me an Amerian special edition silver dollar a couple of years earlier.

    Cheers,

The alcohol or medication you are taking has affected your typing / eyesight as you have added a few to many zeros

I also have one of these notes, remember buying it the day they were released.

I did see a couple of notes in circulation a few years ago but they were pretty ordinary looking so I didn't worry about them.

Yes, they were around when they first come out and it was no biggie if you got one then as they were to be the new $10 note but these days your doing well if you get one as change from a transaction.

Unless your work as a bank teller The stuff I saw back in the late 90's would be worth a few dollars if I had collected it at face value.

Have one of these $10 notes myself in uncirculated condition, as purchased in a special cardboard folder - that I purchased back when they were released (think it cost something like $15). Was showing my 7 year son the other day, although he was more fasinated with the 1 and 2 cent pieces!

Yeah when I was working at a bank about 10 years ago we had some one come in with 4 $200 Gold coins, minted for the 1982 Commonwealth games, 22 carat gold 10g each. They were uncirculated, in a presentation case. She just wanted to deposit the $800 into her account. Wish I had of got them now but didn't have the cash at the time to buy them.

Yeah I cashed in a $200 coin I had from 1980, I remember it had a small blue wallet and had a koala on it.

They aren't that much more expensive now though on fleabay.

If they just doubled in 31 years, then no I don't really consider that a great return!

Yeah $200 bucks 31 years ago would have probably bought you more stuff than $400 today (eg in 1980 petrol was 32c/liter)
So yeah probably not the best investment.
