im getting the same error , still trying to work it out as well , restarting oscam fixes it , but after a few/couple of hours , does it again. tried 3 other readers and tweaking the reader settings and oscam.conf with no luck , even tried dm500 , dm800 , linux version of oscam , all seem to fail in some way. The only real difference is that linux doesnt crash where dm 500 and dm 800 do

maybe a flood of emm's to the card ? block all the emms to the card except one box.. ? just taking a guess!

Emms from another provider ( ie resharing to CCcam )will give that or the card has missed an update. Block global emms to start with.

yea i blocked all global emm and even have AU disabled under reader . this is the only solution atm , seems to run longer , 6 to 8 hours before the irdeto cmd error apears.
I have read that it seems to be common with later builds of oscam, but im getting the same problem with irserver as well, CW goes red at weird times and a reset is required

ok seems i have sorted the problem , i was getting a simular error to "irdeto_do_cmd [2] 90 00" with out the 90 00 (nok) message but just the "irdeto_do_cmd [2]" ( I over looked this in the threads' title )
even with AU disabled in oscam under the reader settings , oscam was still been bombarded with emm's and causing errors from the other client lines through a CCcam reshare. I moved CCcam to ubuntu , Disable emm = yes in CCcam.cfg and setup a single box with CCcam using newcamd protocol to keep the card updated. All better ... so far after 2 days

Having the same problem. Have two clients (one locally for CCCam) and the other on another box. Works for a few minutes, then drops out.

This is the errors I am having.

    (irdeto_do_cmd [8] a0 00) = surf lock activated

u may have to monitor the time interval when card locks and do a script to reset card (restart oscam)

Any idea how I can do that OZir? Will that interupt my viewing too? I could set it up to restart oscam every 5mins perhaps without rereading the card etc...

At the moment when I have two clients, I get errors. One is fine.

Can the provider switch off surf lock remotely? Or is it done permanently at activation? Thinking of a phone call.

Maybe try CSP to oscam. Only one N line to oscam.

Where can I get CSP from? PM?

CCCam uses one N line too, but don't think it will fix my problem. Was thinking if the provider can switch it off remotely I could ring their tech support and "complain" I lose my pictures while channel surfing for a while.....hmm...

    Thanks,
I'll give it a try, but it needs to slow down the ECM requests to the card.

If you have 2 boxes on the same channel CSP with cache the request and only hit the card once.

Oscam does that too, but what about two boxes on different channels? Requests are doubled.

Do you find a solution to this? I'm getting the same error.
